TRA skills assessment support
Trades Recognition Australia administers different skills assessment programs, so the first question is which program may apply to the person’s occupation and purpose. A trade title alone is not enough to assume a program or its evidence requirements.

Start with the applicable TRA program
The program context should be checked before documents are prepared. Occupation, location, purpose, training and employment history may all affect which current TRA information needs attention, and no single program should be assumed for every applicant.
Organise trade and work evidence
KITES may assist with arranging genuine trade qualification, training and employment evidence and identifying questions for the applicable process. The agreed scope does not create evidence or substitute KITES judgement for the authority’s assessment.
Confirm the sequence before submission
Check current TRA program information, identify the evidence relevant to that program and resolve uncertainties before preparing a submission. Any connected visa strategy remains a separate issue requiring its own consideration.
TRA controls each assessment program
TRA makes the assessment decision under the applicable program. A skills assessment is not a visa grant, and assistance with preparation cannot assure an authority result or Home Affairs outcome.
